I hope that this message finds you well! This holiday season, we have so many reasons to be grateful. As I reflect on the notable accomplishments of our UH ECE community (students, faculty, staff, and alumni), I’m filled with an enormous sense of gratitude and pride.

I’m also thankful for all our colleagues, such as you, with who we have had the great fortune of collaborating to make astounding advances sure to better our world for all.

$3M Grant To Develop Artificial Intelligence System To Diagnose Lupus Nephritis

Hien Van Nguyen will use a $3 million grant from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases to bring AI into the diagnostic picture.

Jose Luis Contreras-Vidal reports in the Sensors journal, a new low cost, portable brain-computer interface that connects the brain of stroke patients to powered exoskeletons for rehabilitation purposes.

UH ECE Department Offers New Doctoral Program In Computer Engineering

The Computer Engineering Ph.D. program will provide students with a doctoral-level education in preparation for a success career in academic, national laboratory, or industrial research, and development careers in computer software and hardware.
