Kristen Roberts is a Clinical Specialist with Stryker Corporation in the Houston metropolitan area. As a Clinical Specialist, Kristen consults with surgeons and operating room staff to determine and support ideal technical and business solutions for their needs. Whilst working for Stryker, Kristen has also developed a class one medical device to be utilized in the operating room that is currently undergoing the patent review process.
Prior to joining Stryker, Kristen had the opportunity to work in engineering roles in various industries in Houston, including a biomedical company, Fannin Innovation Studios, and an oil & gas company called ION Geophysical.
Kristen earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology, with a focus in Bioinformatics, from the University of Houston in 2016. During her time at the University of Houston, Kristen served as president of AlChE student chapter organization, Society for Biological Engineering. As an undergrad, she also completed several technical internships within the Houston biotechnology start-up community at BetaCat Pharmaceuticals, Salarius Pharmaceuticals, and BioHouston.
In her spare time, Kristen is heavily involved in FRC robotics as a mentor for a high school team in the Pasadena area. Outside of robotics, she is also very passionate about medical device innovation, and engineering outreach for women.
