University of Houston Cullen College of Engineering, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering

I am excited to welcome you to the September 2016 ECE Newsletter. This school year is off to a monumental start as we welcome the department’s first National Academy of Engineering member, Dr. Kaushik Rajashekara. Rajashekara comes to Houston from the University of Texas at Dallas where he served as Distinguished Professor and Endowed Chair in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Erik Jonssen School of Engineering and Computer Science. We also welcome Rose Faghih, Xiaonan Shan and Hien Nguyen who will make great impacts in the fields of biomedical signal processing, biosensing systems and deep machine learning respectively. Our faculty and students continue to impress with their work in research, leadership and community engagement.
