Mark Laber is the Vice President and General Manager for the Motors & Drives Division of Toshiba International Corporation. He has responsibilities for Manufacturing, Product support, Product Marketing, Field Services, Customer Service, and Operations of the Low Voltage & Medium Voltage Motors and Adjustable Speed Drives group. Toshiba’s product offering includes products designed and manufactured in Houston TX, along with products imported from sister companies, partners and OEMs from around the world with focus activities in the Americas, Europe, The Middle East, Vietnam, Russia, Japan, & China. Mark also currently serves Toshiba as the Global Medium Voltage Business Manager and is on the board of directors for Toshiba’s Canadian Manufacturing facility in Hamilton Ontario.
Mark Joined Toshiba in 1994 after Graduating from University of Houston’s Cullen College of Engineering with a BSEE. Mark first served Toshiba in the role of application engineer and his career progressed through application engineering, product management, business unit management, and general manager. Prior to earning his engineering degree, Mark earned a BS in Mathematics from the University of Minnesota and taught high school mathematics for 7 years.
Mark also currently volunteers with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate; Guardian Ad Litem) for CASA of South Central Texas, where he helps as an advocate for children currently in CPS.
