Research Interests

Image processing: Image restoration, object motion estimation, Bayesian approaches to edge detection; morphological-based object recognition, numerical algorithms for image restoration, a priori image models, video image processing. Medical imaging: Gated cardiac imaging, segmentation and analysis of time-varying 3-D medical images, 3-D Bayesian image reconstruction, iterative algorithms for medical image reconstruction, image processing in the Radon transform space. Statistical inference: Statistical methods for selecting the parameters of a prior distribution, statistical methods for determining imaging system response.
